Recognizing, and believing that Jesus God’s only begotten Son died on our behalf (so we wouldn’t have too) is the gospel truth, in a nutshell. Good works are a result of our new relationship with Christ; not the means by which we are saved. Unfortunately, Black Liberation Theologians have incorrectly interpreted scripture, which means any world-view (i.e., Barack Obama’s) based on this faulty theology incorrectly represents the relationship of the rich vs. the poor, and inappropriately assigns the task of redistribution of wealth as not only a mark of our salvation, but our duty.
