America should not be surprised that actor and comedian Jaime Foxx shouted on stage that President Barack Obama was âLord and Saviorâ at a recent Soul Train Award Show. The nation has come to expect this type of sacrilegious behavior from religiously bankrupt Hollywood performers and entertainers. The true disappointment is how this increasing display of idiocracy in motion continues to influence the young of this nation.
This should be upsetting for Americans of faith and especially for the parents and family members of those in the audience who applauded this walking spiritually disappointing comedian. For those who are Christian, the fact that Foxx repeated Barack Obamaâs, name in order to receive another, and even louder shout out for the hip-hop President underscores the rudderless spiritual state being created in America.
What was the purpose for this type of behavior, except that Foxx and many in the audience are truly disconnected from who Christ is and the importance God and Christ played in the formation of America? To trivialize the very Christian underpinnings of this nation demonstrates a tragic naiveté of Foxx, as well as the audience.
If Foxx or any of his Hollywood followers of the cult of Obama had bothered to spend a minutia of time on Samuel Adams or any of the founding fathers of this nation, perhaps their spiritual bankruptcy would not be so glaring. It was Samuel Adams, the often regarded Father of the American Revolution, who stated at the signing of the Declaration of Independence:
"We have this day restored the Sovereign to whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let His kingdom come..âSamuel Adams
It was President Ronald Reagan who saw and warned against the escalation of American liberalized abandonment of God and Christ. It is this abandonment which Jaime Foxx and others were learning during the 1970âs and 80âs that he warned against.
âI believe with all my heart that standing up for America means standing up for the God who has so blessed our land. We need God's help to guide our nation through stormy seas. But we can't expect Him to protect America in a crisis if we just leave Him over on the shelf in our day-to-day living.â
Yet, it is Jaime Foxx, the jokester in chief who elevated Obama, the unaccomplished-in-chief to deity status. Jesus Christ was not given a back seat, or left on a shelf. He was actually unceremoniously shown the door, much to the apparent delight of the black people, and others in the audience who applauded.
Was it not important to the applauding descendants of former slaves, that their forefathers fervently embraced and relied upon Jesus Christ, and not Barack Obama, a Christian convert from Islam? It was Jesus Christ who kept their ancestors spiritually strong in mind, body and spirit. Did Jaime Foxx ever consider that it was the true âLord and Savior,â Jesus Christ who provided the spiritual nourishment that strengthened the martyred Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., during the harrowing years of the civil rights movement?
Where was the condemnation from Rev. Jesse Jackson and other civil rights leaders who understand the importance of the true Lord and Savior in the very fabric of the black community? Where are the religious leaders who are shepherds of God for millions of blacks who worship faithfully the true Lord and Savior in their churches each Sunday?
The silence is tragically deafening.
While Jaime Foxx gave a very lame and apparently self serving apology for his classless action, it underscores the movement and influence that Foxx and others in Hollywood have utilized to deify Obama.
Consider the very open and concerted effort by Hollywood in collusion with the Obama presidential campaign to encourage millions of Americans to pledge allegiance to the flag of Obama! There were advertisements showing Hollywood actors like Eva Longoria, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, and many, many others to who pledged allegiance to Barack Obama. The last time the world witnessed this type of mindset, occurred during the horrific days of German Nazism, which tragically resulted in the slaughter of well over 5 million Jews during the Holocaust.
So Mr. Foxx, not one person of faith was laughing then or now. The deifying of Barack Obama by those who promote it, must be countered by Americans who are not willing to sacrifice Christianity to a secular anointed despot.
Each American of faith, who embraces the nationâs values should talk with their child, their family member their friends and neighbors and stand to reclaim this Christian nation. Fiercely hold onto the vision which sparked the hearts of the founders of this great and illustrious republic.
America is not fooled Mr. Foxx, because the bible has already alerted the faithful to those who would elevate a man above God and Christ.
âWho is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.â 1 John 2:22
America is warned.
